We offer professional courses and cultural workshops for library managers and employees. The topics include: meetings with authors, story hours, writing workshops, children’s shows, lectures, meetings with artists, music and literature performances, seminars, guided tours and conferences. Some of the courses are recognized and subsidized by local authorities.
Training packages
The Israeli center of libraries specializes in training librarians in the fields of knowledge needed for them to run the library professionally. The training is tailor-made to fit all the different libraries and their specifications and the knowledge is updated constantly. The techniques and tools offered in the training courses enable the librarians to shape and refine their own library to fit the needs of the people attending and to give them a one-of-a-kind library experience, thanks to the staff of teachers who are experienced academics who work in the library knowledge field.
In addition to the training given in the center, the librarians have the opportunity to be a part of the professional librarian community. They can take part in group activities, simulations and role playing. After taking part in all these activities they are ready to face their library challenges equipped with experience and knowledge.
